Kryolan Award.
Kryolan Award. We had a really winning weekend at the 2017 FACE- Face Painting Association Conference in Chatham Kent over the weekend.
At the 2017 Face conference of the face painting association, I was thrilled to be awarded with the Kryolan Award for dedicated hard work and services to the Face and body painting industry. Kryolan are one of the top make up brands in the U.K so I felt very honored to receive this prestigious award from Vikki and Sarah who have worked for Kryolan UK for many years.
The FACE association was set up to encourage good levels of face painting competence within the industry and to encourage face painters to work to good heath and safety standards and follow the Face guidelines and codes of practice to enhance the face painting industry standards as a whole.
Face Hold their yearly conference to gather together face painters from across the UK to participate in competitions and jams(A common name for gathering of face painters!), buy from traders on site and generally have great fun together!
We were lucky to be sponsored by Snazaroo, which enabled us to put on an even better event for our members!
Traders came and supported the event too, Kryolan, Magic Box, Paintopia, Funtime faces, Facade glitter supplies, Follies, The Living Art Show. We also had Rainbow faces and The Face Painting convention, Creative Collection and BHP face paint supplies sponsoring competition prizes too.
Competitions ran through the weekend and I was very pleased to be awarded 1st Place in the one stroke competition with this little fella as below!
I was also thrilled to get the 2nd place award in the glitter competition too, sponsored by Facade glitter. So a good weekend all round!
Sunday saw a body painting session organised by Angela Youngs, with myself and Raphaelle Fieldhouse- world body painting champion painting models Sarah Lowndes and Cheryl Lyon, which was great fun a for the meet and great for the Saturday night arrival for our rumble in the jungle party night!
We were also thrilled to manage to raise over £200 in the raffle which went towards one of our chosen charities for the weekend the Brain and Spine Foundation.
